1. PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION

1.1 The demonstration of video streaming from BrainBox to PC

2. TEST SET-UP

2.1 BrainBox
2.2 Dark WebSocket Terminal installed on PC (Google Chrome have to be installed before this step)
2.3 VLC installed on PC
2.4 BrainBox Application Apk

3. PROCEDURE

3.1 Install Dark WebSocket Terminal (Link)
3.2 Install VLC media player (Link)
3.3 Power on BrainBox, and wait until the LEDs indicate the BB is ready (Details described in ETP 526)
3.4 Search the WiFi spot on your PC. The name starts with “NXDrone-”. Make sure your PC really connects to the network via this hot spot. Note that it is expected to show “No Internet access” message in the network icon. (No other wired network is used) (See Fig. 3.4.1 – 2)
3.5 Open Dark WebSocket Terminal (See Fig. 3.5)
3.5.1 Enter “ws://192.168.43.1:8080/websocket” in socket field
3.5.2 Enter “vairdo” in protocol field

3.6 The terminal will show the messages which indicate the connection is successful. (See Fig. 3.6)
3.7 Enter the command {“type”: “VideoInfoRequest”}, then the terminal will show the message indicates the request is received. (See Fig. 3.7.1 – 2)

3.8 Open VLC, on the toolbar : Media -> Open Network Stream (See Fig. 3.8)
3.9 Enter the URL: http://192.168.43.1:9999/main (See Fig. 3.9)
3.10 The video streaming will start with a few seconds of latency. (See Fig. 3.10)
